Who is it for?

Ignite+ is available to selected businesses in the Queensland innovation ecosystem and recipients of Advance Queensland Ignite Ideas funding.

What are the grant/program objectives?

Ignite+ provides founders with access to tailored business support to expand the commercial skills they require to take their innovation to market readiness and commercialisation stage.

The purpose of the program is to help innovators accelerate growth and drive the creation of new businesses and sustainable jobs for Queenslanders.

The program supports Advance Queensland’s aims to:

• strengthen key industries in Queensland
• diversify the Queensland economy
• enable Queensland businesses to compete in domestic and global markets
• engage and/or benefit regional Queensland
• create new Queensland jobs, now and into the future.

What does it involve?

• Ignite+ is a business development program to improve business competency in investment, sales and marketing, financial literacy and other key skills, giving Queensland’s most innovative startups their best chance of success.
• The program is made up of three streams and provides a suite of tailored support services, wrapping around Ignite funding recipients and selected high-growth enterprises.
  • Ignite+ Spark supports enterprises that are recipients of Advance Queensland Ignite Spark Program funding, to enhance the development, testing and market validation of a pre-market ready product or service and to help participants to plan and prepare for future commercialisation.
  • Ignite+ Commercialisation supports recipients of the Advance Queensland Ignite Ideas Fund and selected commercial-ready and early commercialisation phase enterprises, to help founders and senior managers develop the skills required to commercialise innovations and establish their business growth models.
  • Ignite+ Scale was launched in late 2024 and will offer bespoke, agile, and advanced scaleup support to Queensland’s most ambitious and high growth potential innovation driven enterprises.
