Ready, set, pitch at the inaugural Creative Industries Demo Day

Creative businesses across the Moreton Bay Region with big ideas or a desire to grow are encouraged to apply to be part of the inaugural Creative Industries Demo Day that will be held at the Caboolture Hub in May.

To support Moreton Bay Region’s ambition in becoming a top ten innovation hub and to shine a spotlight on the region’s Creative Industry sector, up to 10 finalists will be selected to participate from the region’s brightest and best.

Mayor Peter Flannery said the inaugural Creative Industries Demo Day offers businesses an invaluable opportunity to pitch their business to an audience of industry professionals, future customers and potential investors.

“With the launch of the Creative Industries Demonstration Day, we’re calling for all businesses operating within the Creative Industries sector in Moreton Bay Region to submit an expression of interest,” Mayor Flannery said.

“Whether you write, code, tell stories, design, or something else entirely, this is your chance to step onto a stage and pitch your idea in front of a panel of industry professionals,” continued Mayor Flannery.

Before stepping on stage to pitch to an audience and judges, finalists will participate in a pre-event workshop hosted by world-class trainer and workshop facilitator Jacqueline Nagle of Any Given Tuesday.

The pre-event workshop will assist finalists to fine-tune their skills and unlock the elements of influence to provide them with skills across pitching, storytelling, speaking, positioning, business model analysis and strategy.

Expressions of interest are open until Friday, 8th April. Finalists will be announced the following week and will be required to attend the Pre-Event Workshop on Wednesday, 20th April from 9am – 1pm.
